Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries | Andy Cohen
19 posts | 21 read | 1 reading | 7 to read
The star-studded and sidesplitting follow up to The Andy Cohen Diaries The megapopular host of Watch What Happens: Live and executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise is back, better than ever, and telling stories that will keep his publicist up at night. Since the publication of his last book, Andy has toured the country with his sidekick Anderson Cooper, hit the radio waves with his own Sirius station, Radio Andy, appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher despite his mothers conviction he was not intellectually prepared, hosted NBCs Primetime New Years Eve special, guest edited Entertainment Weekly, starred in Bravos Then & Now with Andy Cohen, offended celebrities with his ongoing case of foot-in-mouth disease, and welcomed home Teresa Namaste Giudice, from a brief stint in jail. Hopping from the Hamptons to the Manhattan dating world, the dog park to the red carpet, Cardinals superfan and mamas boy Andy Cohen, with Wacha in tow, is the kind of star that fans are dying to be friends with. This book gives them that chance. If The Andy Cohen Diaries was deemed the literary equivalent of a Fresca and tequila by Jimmy Fallon, Superficial is a double: dishier, juicier, and friskier. In this account of his escapadespersonal, professional, and behind-the-scenesAndy tells us not only what goes down, but exactly what he thinks of it.

I am a Bravo fan. I love reality background tv and Andy Cohen being at the center of much of it makes me curious about him. This was not a great book though. And I don‘t think it painted him in the greatest light either. It went on too long and the name dropping gets old. We get it you and Kelly Ripa and SJP have dinner a lot but I don‘t think it needs to be written every single time it happens.

This books covered most of my #JoysofJuly reading. It was quite long but interesting.

My current #SummertimeRead is the follow-up to the Andy Cohen Diaries. More of his adventures fending off Real Housewives in the wild, name dropping and party hopping, and trying to find happiness in NYC. Even reading about his Christmas party (at which a former RHoOC screamed at another guest) seems more appropriate while sitting in the sun with a cold beverage.

I love all things Bravo and Andy Cohen. This diary format has lots of juicy details and the audio version is like having a fun conversation with an old friend. Great summer reading

Listened to this on audio, and enjoyed the narration by Andy himself.

I enjoyed reading this book and was sad when it ended. Andy is quirky and dished a lot of fun, interesting info! He's the real deal- not superficial at all. Loved his honesty and hearing about life in NYC as a known personality.

I'm a Bravoholic and Andy Cohen super fan, but this book wasn't as good as his last book, The Andy Cohen Diaries. If you love the Housewives as much as I do this is worth the read. Otherwise, skip it.

Andy and tea (plus an appearance by Abby) before Giants and 🍺. It's all about balance.

Had a lazy Saturday morning in bed with this book. Exactly what the doctor ordered after a crazy week. Easy and fun, like listening to a friend's stories over brunch.
