For me the #goldenyears were probably the 90s, during which I read all of the Terry Pratchett and Robert Rankin I could. Here's some of my Rankin collection.

Honourable mention also for Fools by Pat Cadigan which I reread I lot!

Sue @Marchpane He's like a demented combo of Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams. In the tagged title, Elvis (yeah that one) is a main character and he travels through time with his sidekick Barry the Time Sprout. 7y

Leniverse Joy! The library has "The hollow chocolate bunnies of the apocalypse". That sounds like Easter reading to me. And wow! Eight other Rankin books! 7y

Sue @Leniverse Yay, I hope you enjoy them! Most of them don't matter for order, but there are 'trilogies' for both the Brentford and Armageddon books. 😊 7y

Leniverse They have three books listed as part of a series. Somewhat abbreviated: Japanese Devil Fish Girl, The Educated Ape, The Chickens of Atlantis. Not sure if that's the right order. The other books have no series info. (Retromancer, A Dog Called Demolition, Necrophenia, The Dance of the Voodoo Handbag, The Mechanical Messiah) Where do I start? 😂 7y

Sue @Cinfhen Yes it is - Elvis is a character in the book. My favourite of the series is the fourth, which includes quotes from the Elvis bible at the beginning of each chapter. 😂😂😂 7y

So for some reason I searched for this on audible - it's on sale for $1.99!!

This is the first in my favourite of Rankin's series. If you are not familiar with his writing, he has been described as a blend of Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams. 😊
