I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell
I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell | Tucker Max
My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But, I do contribute to humanity in one very important way: I share my adventures with the world.--from the IntroductionActual reader feedback:"I am completely baffled as to how you can congratulate yourself for being a womanizer and a raging drunk, or think anyone cares about an idiot like you. Do you really think that exploiting the insecurities of others while getting wasted is a legitimate thing to offer?""Thank you, thank you, thank you--for sharing with us your wonderful tales of drunken revelry, for teaching me what it means to be a man, for just existing so I know that there is another option; I too can say 'screw the system' and be myself and have fun. My life truly began when I finished reading your stories. Now, when faced with a quandary about what course of action I should take, I just ask myself, 'What Would Tucker Do?'--and I do it, and I am a better man for it.""I find it truly appalling that there are people in the world like you. You are a disgusting, vile, repulsive, repugnant, foul creature. Because of you, I don't believe in God anymore. No just God would allow someone like you to exist.""I'll stay with God as my lord, but you are my savior. I just finished reading your brilliant stories, and I laughed so hard I almost vomited. I want to bring that kind of joy to people. You're an artist of the highest order and a true humanitarian to boot. I'm in both shock and awe at how much I want to be you.""You are the coolest person I can even imagine existing. If you slept with my girlfriend, it'd make me love her more."

How about a Galaxy Shot™?

#tbr @Eggs

Eggs What is that 6y
geodynamical_nonfiction @Eggs I believe it's a Bluegrass shot (cold pressed pineapple, lemon, ginger, and Blue Majik) with extra Blue Majik on top (bluegreen algae extract) and what looks like camu camu powder There might be some CBD oil in there. 😊 A customer ordered it and this is what it looked like after a little swirl. 6y
Eggs Perhaps it lends one magical powers 🌌 6y

As others have said, #hated is a strong word but these are 3 books that fit the bill for me. The Silent Wife, I feel like, tried too hard to be Gone Girl. Don't even get me started on Tucker Max. I'm not even sure what I was thinking on that one. Well Enough Alone had less to do with hypochondriac and more to do with random tangents. It was behind frustrating. #sizzlinsummerbooks

Allkat Funny I just read Silent Wife. I really liked that one. You‘re right, not Gone Girl good but it kept me turning pages as things started unraveling for that couple. Just started I hope they serve beer.... Hoping for some laughs. 🤭 6y

I've always gotten along with both men & women. I enjoy dark comedy & I'm NOT easily offended ? my forever-fiancé is a snarky tease. Any time he has to open a pickle jar for me I get a wink & a sexist joke along with it. But Tucker Max's I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, was one of the most rude & ridiculous books I've read. It wasn't intelligent or witty, & I still don't understand why it exists. 2.99 for this book is a rip off. Trash. #hateraid

OrangeMooseReads I HATED this book! Tucker Max is the biggest a-hole. 7y
LazyLibrary @OrangeMooseReads Yup! I had to take the opportunity to slam him haha 7y

If you go out a lot, you know that you can never try too hard to make a party; you just have to kind of see where the night takes you. You do that enough, and every now and then you stumble into one of those absolutely perfect situations where it seems like everything just falls into place.
