My #self-love for the final day of #gratitude30 is to celebrate that I turned in my first dissertation chapter draft to my committee just now. Instead of guilt over how long it took, I am celebrating my persistence, and the fact that I have cool things to say to the world about immersion and reading transmedia stories.

(Credit to Jorge Cham for the PhD comic that always makes me feel less alone in my struggles!)

Pickpick

Today on something borrowed, my friend who is doing a PhD in Canada asked me to take care of his Piled higher and deeper comics. I read this before grad school and I can tell you it holds up. Lol. #booktober
