Woman with a Secret
Woman with a Secret: A Novel | Sophie Hannah
Published in the UK as The Telling ErrorLisa Gardner calls it "mesmerizing." Liane Moriarty says it's "unpredictable, unputdownable, and unlike anything you've read before." See for yourself what these #1 New York Times-bestselling authors are talking about. She's a wife. She's a mother. She isn't who you think she is.Nicki Clements has secrets, just like anybody elsesecrets she keeps from her children, from her husband, from everyone who knows her. Secrets she shares with only one person: A stranger she's never seen. A person whose voice she's never heard. And then Nicki is arrested for murder. The murder of a man she doesn't know.As a pair of husband-and-wife detectives investigate her every word, and as the media circle like sharks, all Nicki's secrets are laid bareillusions and deceptions that she has kept up for years. And even the truth might not be enough to save her. For although Nicki isn't guilty of homicide, she's far from innocent. . . .For fans of The Girl on the Train, Gone Girl, and the best of Hitchcock comes an extraordinary thrillerand an extraordinarily unreliable narratorfrom an author whose work has been described by Tana French as "like watching a nightmare come to life."

I always struggle choosing which book off my TBR stack to read next, so I'm making a book jar! No more contemplating my decision, just reach in and grab a slip of paper to find my next read!

readordierachel Great idea! Although I feel like I would just put the paper back and pick another if I wasn't feeling it, lol. 7y
morgan_krahn @ReadOrDieRachel I have a bad feeling that will happen at least a few times 🤦🏼‍♀️ 7y
monkeygirlsmama That's a fun way to do it! 7y

Tamra @ReadOrDieRachel 😆 Me too. 7y
AnnieReads Did you put all of your TBR books in the jar? 7y
morgan_krahn @AnnieReads I'm working on it! These are just the ones on my kindle that haven't been read yet. I'm going to write up the rest of the slips tonight hopefully and toss them in a mason jar ☺️ 7y
AnnieReads I love this idea but am daunted by it. I think I have around 1500 books sitting on shelves and tables waiting to be read. And I checked out two books from the library yesterday. And my BOTM selections are arriving today! I think I have a book problem. 😏 7y
ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled I like this idea!!! 7y

I wonder if it's possible, simultaneously, to be a good mother and a bad person:

This book is strange but very interesting. I'm inly a few chapters in but it's almost a pulp fiction type of book.

tnorris I really like her and her books! This one I really enjoyed. The Wrong Mother was also good! :) 8y
JoeStalksBeck I liked The Wrong Mother too! 8y

Rainy days call for a book with a matching rainy cover. What kinds of books do you like reading on rainy days?

[DELETED] 2232195534 Any books at all! 8y
Nebklvr Fantasy stories 8y
Donna_sBookMinute Sounds like my kind of book. Wonder what's wrong with the narrator, though? The synopsis mentions an "unreliable narrator." Adding to stack. 8y

Donna_sBookMinute While I don't model my book selections after the weather, I'm known to do so with seasons -- especially fall/autumn. 8y
Karkar I like to read scary books when it rains. 8y
JamieLou I think rainy days are good for fantasy. 8y
BekahB I like to read dark psychological thrillers when it's rainy. I sit right next to a window with a cup of coffee or tea. It doesn't rain much here so I take advantage of stormy weather when I can! ⛈ 8y
PatriciaU I love to pull out an old 1970s gothic romance paperback. On a dark, dreary rainy day, I can get through 3 or 4 of those delicious little things. 8y
DebinHawaii Depending on my mood I like the classics, Britain-set cozy mysteries or historical fiction, or something spooky/creepy on rainy days. Anything to curl up with over a 'cuppa' 🍵👍📚🌧 8y
WilliamMorrowBooks @BekahB @PatriciaU @DebinHawaii love hearing all of your go-to's! There's nothing better than some rainy day reading in my opinion. ☔️ 8y
Leftyonkey Rainy days call for a mystery! 8y

Nine books later, Sophie Hannah finally releases her grip on me. If you like TV crime drama, this series will fit you like a glove
