Excellent follow up to book one! The action and political intrigue never stop and it‘s a fun ride all the way.

Everyone has something called a ‘smati‘ implanted in their brains so they can instantly communicate/ download files etc. Makes me think of ‘smarties‘

I'm not an ebook reader but when you can't pick up physical books at the library then needs must. Book 2 in the Indranan Empire series has Hail attempting to find peaceful solutions to the escalating tensions among her own people and with the neighboring Saxons. We get to see more of Hail and how she operates but this is very much a "running" book where there is constant action and avoidance of the enemy. A wonderful sequel to the series.

The adventure continues! Assassination and coups ensue but this Space Empress is having none of it. Still a good time! Plus it looks like in addition to queer couples there's a non binary (or genderfluid, it's not explicitly said) character. Where's that next book? I need more ass kicking! #scifi #diversebookbloggers

Book 2 of the Indranan War series continues to be a wickedly fun romp trough Wagers' far-flung galaxy. I loved getting to visit Hail's past as a gunrunner more in-depth and seeing relationships grow and change. These books feel like The Goblin Emperor meets Firefly, and I dig that. 11/10 waiting anxiously for book 3.

Started reading After The Crown this weekend and it's just as awesome as the first book. Love this series!!!
