Okay #RandomClassics friends, here is the schedule for Puck of Pook's Hill!! It seems that this is a collection of short stories and poems. So the main title for each bullet point is the story, and the parenthetical titles are the associated poems. Each story is about 25-30pgs, so 2-3 a week feels doable. We'll see how it goes!!!

Our June read for #LittensLoveRomance has been chosen! Though it was a close vote. This book doesn‘t have chapters really, it‘s separated into sections. Goliath by Tochi Onyebuchi is the winner for June. It is available for free to read, in the US, if you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription. Even my tiny local library had a physical copy and ebook format also. This book has a number of accolades so I am hoping it lives up to the hype. Enjoy!

Been missing in action whilst I dealt with some life stuff, but the #20in4 Readathon starts Friday. For anyone who has already entered Friday, or needs more time to organise, feel free to do the Readathon from Saturday - Tuesday.
As always very informal, all welcome, and aim to either read 20 hours, or 20 chapters over the four days, or even set your own target. I‘m hoping it helps me get back in a reading habit.

June's book is Puck of Pook's Hill, which should, if nothing else, be a contrast to East of Eden 😂 I have several of Kipling's books on my list because I enjoyed the two Jungle Books and Just So stories so much, but I don't really know anything about this one. I don't have my copy yet, so I'm not sure how many chapters there are, either!! If anyone would like to read along, let me know!!

Originally, I planned to let voting go until the end of the month, but since this is the overwhelming favorite, three times the votes for Deus Irae, I will go ahead and announce that June's selection for #ClassicLSFBC is The Forever War by Joe Haldeman. A copy should be available at most libraries or used book stores. If you have premium subscriptions to Audible or Spotify, it's available on both formats for free.

I hope everyone is ready to read, or reread, this series. The first book is Dark Lover. The book is 393 pages and 45 chapters with an epilogue. Roughly 1.5 chapters a day or 11.5 a week. I am planning to do a summary/questions at the end of each week. I am also thinking about giving away some swag after we finish the first book

Our second #CampLitsy24 book is Butter. We‘ll discuss it after Clear, in the second half of June. Our reading schedule is as follows: we‘ll discuss chapter 1 to 8 on June 22 and chapter 9 to the end on June 29.
Looking forward to the book, I hope it is just as good as Clear, that we will discuss on June 8 and 14!

July 14: chapters 6-10 (118 pages)
July 21: chapters 11-17 (111 pages)
July 28: chapters 18-21 (114 pages)
August 4: chapters 22-28 (109 pages)
What do you think? This is just a suggestion. I‘m open to what might work better for anyone.
