Welcome to June #AuthorAMonth readers! Time to pull out our SA Cosby books. What are you planning to read?

#AuthorAMonth is a no-pressure, no-commitment Litsy challenge. The goal is to celebrate the works of a particular author each month. Authors were chosen through polls by Litsy participants. Read as many as you like, skip months when needed, it's entirely up to you! ⬇️

Soubhiville There will be some prizes sent at the end of the year:

-There will be ONE prize book box for "MOST READ." In order to qualify, books must be FINISHED in the appropriate month. (Bails will not be counted.) It is up to you to keep track by editing your Google form. (this prize can only be won once, there will be a different winner every year.) ⬇️
1d
Soubhiville -There will be one prize randomly chosen from the "EVERY MONTH CLUB". To qualify for this prize you must read one or more book every month for the qualifying author. For this category BAILS COUNT. The winners will be chosen randomly from the participants that qualify for the club.

-There will also be one or more random prizes sent to any randomly drawn participant who has FINISHED at least one qualifying book during the year. ⬇️
1d
Soubhiville Once you start your Google form you will get an email confirmation. Hold on to that email, it gives you access to edit the form. You should also be able to access it through your Google Drive. I can not access it for you though, and if you can‘t get to the form you started my link will make you start a new form. It is up to you if you track monthly with the form or just fill it out at the end of the year. ⬇️ 1d

Soubhiville I won‘t be looking at it until January of 2025.

Only Listy members who are still active in the Listy community at the time of drawings will qualify.

Here is the link to the Google form:

May #AuthorAMonth #AAM #ReadAway2024 I read another book by this author in May and both were impressive and entertaining. I don‘t necessarily believe that everything happens for a reason and I don‘t believe that is the author‘s intended message. But I do believe that we are all connected. I believe the author communicates this quite eloquently. I‘ll be reading more of her books in the future. Strongly recommended.

CBee I loved this one 😊 23h
DieAReader 🥳🥳🥳 21h
CatLass007 @tpixie I read that this month also. I loved it! 15h

Diving into this one on a very grey Sunday morning. I see that quite a few Littens have read this for #AuthorAMonth #AAM. I‘m holding off on reading their reviews until I finish reading as well. Hope you‘re all enjoying your weekend!📚
(May 26, 2024)

tpixie I‘m 70% through The Glass Hotel- I can‘t wait to read the posts afterwards. Then I‘ll finish the ‘trilogy‘ with 2d

May 2024 #AuthorAMonth #AAM #ReadAway2024 This short novel packs a lot of wallop! It is spectacular. I love science fiction because it makes me think. All good fiction should make its readers think, but science fiction is my favorite genre. I had somewhat figured out the twist at the end but not nearly all of it. Highly recommended!

Looking forward to my #readyourebooks choice this month as I‘ve shockingly not tried a Jodi Foster bk yet tho they seem right up my alley.
Tagged is #bookspin and #doublespin is Wide Sargasso Sea (which I‘m happy to finally be reading with the #hashtagbrigade)
#aam is giving me the excuse to pick up Station Eleven
So it looks like a game of catch up all round, and not least in #roll100
Hope y‘all having just as much fun this May!

That took WAY too long. And if I look at this image too closely, I will want to straighten the lines :-D Anyway, here's my #bookspin bingo card. I'm kinda excited that my #aam #authoramonth choice is also my #doublespin!

I don‘t know if I‘ll manage to read a new one of her‘s for #AAM or not, but I‘m really glad I decided to start by rereading this because I found it much more affecting the second time, and I also found I was better able to to approach it inquisitively several more years post pandemic as life is actually snapping back to normal. I also think her books may work better for me in print than on audio. @Soubhiville

mcctrish I just heard a reference to this book and how post pandemic the author doesn‘t feel like this story could be a possible dystopian reality - we are so not in a collective mindset anymore ( or so many people aren‘t ) I loved this book, my heart is broken 1mo
IndoorDame @mcctrish that‘s so interesting! I‘ll have to think more on our collective mindset and this book. But I was definitely thinking about how the pandemic changed my perception of what the actual scope of something like the flu in this novel (and other apocalyptic esque fiction) would actually be, how many orders of magnitude more than something like Covid, how would we actually react to something that frightening?… 1mo

Here are my #Bookspin and #Doublespin for May. #Doublespin is #aam and this is the one I plan to try.

I‘m currently two behind for the year (not counting those above), but I‘m almost finished with one of them.
