I felt like this could have been so great, but it kind of fell short for me. I didn't feel like it was well developed and the plot had some pacing issues
Amazing sequel that manages to balance new characters, a thrilling plot, and maintain our love of the old characters.
This is beautiful language, characters, and plot. This was entirely expected because McLemore is a goddess. This is a must read for everyone.
This was a beautiful and whimsical fairy tale, almost like a rewritten and updated little prince.
Phenomenal but I expected nothing less. Absolutely amazing story line and characters. It's cruel to have to wait so long for the next.
This was amazing, representation wise, plot wise, and characters. Everything about this was fantastic and I am so excited to read the sequel.
I loved the concept of this novel and the plot was super thriller themed. Just at the end of the day I wasn't blown away
This was so intriguing, but I just felt like it was kind of floundering in the middle. I loved the characters and writing
I don't even know if I could be objective about this because the subject matter touched my heart. I rarely see adoption narratives and it is fantastic
Really ended up enjoying this. It plays with this line between reality and the not real that is fantastic. Also Odette was my favorite character in terms of persoanlity, story, and name. I hope this becomes a series because that ending....
This book is everything. It has two fantastic heroines, a whole cast of badass women, and a plot that is epic. Such an amazing book.
I loved the premise of the book, and it put to action was even better. What you get is a plot about a character who is trying to figure out her role in society, and to set her own limitations. There's corruption, Lust for power, and an obsession with beauty that, combibed, are a powder keg ready to explode.
I absolutely loved the pilgrimage of harold fry, much more than I thought I would and knew I had to pick up this one. Anyone else??
This was everything to me and more. The plot kept getting better and better. The characters were only more and more complex. And the world was just fantastic. Yes to this. I want more. Like now.
This was fantastic. It had evocative world building, deep characters, and a plot that was a constant surprise. All the love.
I am absolutely obsessed with this cover! I am so excited to start this in July!
I loved the main character, even though she was a little flat. But in general it was a mash up of many different plots, and wasnt very descriptive. It was middle of the road. Like just over average but not omg worthy
I loved the premise of this, but it fell short. The plot felt like deja vu of other popular dystopias and it was somewhat predictable. Additionally, the main character was a little flat to me. I would enjoy reading the sequel though to see what Forde will do.
I cannot wait to read these three, especially the house of shattered wings. That title is fantastic!
Sour heart is a collection of short stories that tackles issues of culture, poverty, the immigrant experience, and moving on. There's a roundedness to the entire batch and a red thread that connects all the stories to each other, steadily moving us towards the final piece.
I love this series so much. They have such wonderful characters and the plots are always clever. What is your favorite series?
This book was calling my name at the airport. Have you read it?? Let me know your thoughts 👍
I didn't know about this murder before. Anyway, the book had some great, but creepy characters. And the plot kept moving between memories and the case, but I felt like I got lost between them.
Really enjoyed this book and a review is coming up soon on the blog (https://utopia-state-of-mind.com) have you read?
I absolutely loved everything about this. The MC is amazing, the folklore is beautiful, and the plot is superb. Would recommend 1000%
Hi everyone! I am totally new to this, but here goes. I am a book blogger who loves taking pictures of her books and is obsessed with reading. I currently live in Germany but am originally from NY. I did a master's in English lit so I am basically a huge nerd. So hello everyone!
