Don‘t know why I have been reading it for the whole two months. It‘s too academic for my liking.

Book was very enjoyable. Light , reach and interesting without being too academic or brainy) but at the same time gives something to think about.🎬🎬🎬🎬

Hard to choose. Liked Magic for Liars a lot. This book was funny to read but... it was more “let me tell” than “let me show”.

Always begin books about Eve with “oh why do I read it again” attitude. But then catch up and enjoy. Trying to find series like in death to comfort reading ))

If your want to read about a magical school, about grim murder and brave investigator don't choose it.

It's about lies.

Magic for Liars | Sarah Gailey

[...]what it was like, walking through my high school and feeling like everyone else‘s lives had already started. There was the girl who was an amazing singer and played guitar outside at lunch, the academic kid who won an award at the national level for some kind of algae farm, the young artists who sat and moodily sketched their friends. I remembered looking at them, and then looking at myself, and wondering when the hell my thing would turn up.

Wonderful story about fox domestication. Raises interesting questions not only about animal evolution but also about us, people.

Read it with delight.

And let's forget some “lyric parts“ about mountains of caviar and fountains of cognac. Seems like nobody can write about USSR without this parts.

Finished this book pretty quickly.

Wonderful story but a little bit...mmm... rushed? And it's also like the third part of ONE book so you don't have “in the first two book our hero did this and that, let's remember it“. You just open it - and boom.

But I really like Cassandra Khaw style-voice-etc.

Should have been reading first two again.

Finished. It was entertaining. And at the same time like... like... mmm... i was like kid on swings. Whoosh - and can't stop reading, whoosh - and can't even turn the page.
And also it was like three lil books under one cover. Author tried to intersect them but mostly they were running on parallel lines. But entertaining.

Love it. Book of the year for me (so far).
Most of all:
- Exhalation (air-driven mechanical scientist looks into his mind. Literally).
- What's expected of us (Do we have a free will?)
- The truth of fact, the truth of feeling (digital memory vs organic memory)
- Omphalos (life in a world literally created by god, but why?)
- Anxiety is the dizziness of freedom (do you want to chat with your parallel self? )

Brilliant!

EliNeedsMoreShelves Just finished this one - so, so good! 5y
