This has always been one of my favorite series. I highly recommend it! This series follows the journey of a half-blood Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, on his many quests he is sent on to help save the real world from the gods taking it over. There are many mythological creatures, Greek gods and goddesses, and true mythological things that appear within this series. It is action packed and would be a great read aloud for older elementary kids.

This book is about how sadness enters your life and sometimes hangs around. It talks about how sometimes you can try to hide it but it always finds its way back. It then gives suggestions about how to embrace the feeling of sadness. For example, by going for a walk, letting the sadness out, or even sleeping. I love the message this books portrays and would absolutely use this in the classroom.
