Pickpick

After Caraval and my so-so feelings about it, I wasn‘t sure if I was going to read Legendary. But this book totally blew me away! Garber established a whole new level of depth and complexity in her characters and the world of Caraval, which made reading this book so enjoyable that I‘m sad it‘s over. I absolutely loved Tella‘s POV and I‘m having all the feels about Dante right now! If you haven‘t read this book yet, you need to!! I give it a 5/5.

I‘m about to start reading this lovely. It‘s taken me so long to finally get around to this book, and I‘ve attempted to read it so many times but always wind up getting distracted by other books. I‘m going to push through and just keep reading though!

I wanted to love this book, and the whole concept and plot behind Caraval was unique and original. I was not fully able to fall in love with this book, though, because I couldn‘t get over how gullible and forgiving Scarlett was. She didn‘t seem like a believable character and I found myself more annoyed by her than anything. Honestly, I loved everything else about this book. Giving Legendary a try, interested to see things from Tella‘s POV. 4/5

I was given a free copy of the ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Essence by Hayley Gabrielle is a fantastic adventure set in another dimension that is closely tied to Earth. The plot was very interesting and I really enjoyed the different personalities of the Essences, though the story as a whole was a little lackluster. With a bit more depth and worldbuilding, this concept could have been a 5/5, but I think my honest score would be 3.75/5.
