ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.

I love it. I've been wanting a good story with an older protagonist. While searching I stumbled on the newish "Paranormal Women's Fiction" genre which is all my favorite things rolled into one. Shannon Mayer's tale follows a 40+ woman named Breena who, for lack of a better description, falls butt first into the 'Shadow World' she's avoided all her life. It's got snark, laughs, and thrills!

This is my favorite series of all time and the author that most influences my own writing.

I've waiting 6 years for this book and I'm in tears of joy on this wonderful LAUNCH DAY! I've never been so excited to clean my house so I can listen to this book.

First series my husband has pointed me to! (I usually give HIM the books) We started reading them together. Only a few chapters in and I can already tell this is going to be a wild awesome ride.

I mean who doesn't love a sexy tattooed ginger druid, though?

This series is so wonderful. A brilliant mixture of sweet and dark subject matter.
This is book 2, but I've already ready up to book 5. They're so good I gulp them down like air!

Wow! It's been a while since I've found a book that really sucked me in and I couldn't put down. This one takes the cake and I'm so excited it's a series.

I loved everything about this story. It's got sexy, spooky, and silly all in one. This is a fascinating twist on dark / urban fantasy. Edwards really breaths new life (and spicy drama) into the concept of necromancy.

I always like to try and improve my crafts (since I am a jack of all trades I want to become master of them all too!!)

In honor of the apocalypse, here is a sci-fi apocalypse story!

I don't read a lot of these kinds of books (dispute it being a subject I enjoy in video games) but this was recommended to me. Right now anything apocalypse related is on trend - so why not!

Was nice to read in the subject without it being disease or zombie related.

If you love vampires, cooking competitions, and family fun - this book is definitely for you.

The author put her own spin on vampires and the supernatural world. It was a blast to follow Quinn and Miriam as they solved the murder and got into all sorts of shenanigans.
There are even recipes in the back of the book! Which is always a plus.

When I read non-fiction it tends to be related to writing/publishing - however I picked this up on a whim and was not disappointed! What a fascinating read. The author has a great way of mixing heavy topics with humor. It made learning about horrendous diseases over the years quite entertaining and educational.

I love all Charlaine Harris books, but especially her cozy mysteries. We've been watching the movies made for Hallmark using the Aurora Teagarden books. I am completely shocked my husband agreed to watch them with me (and is enjoying them!)

We play "who-dunnit" the whole time. What a blast.

I love this series. In all honesty the physical books are hard to get through. (Much like John Carter of Mars. Very dry and dense.)

But the audiobooks breath in a whole new life to the series!

The theory in this book is amazing and I can't wait to implement the whole system. I did the email organization and it did help with stress relief.

I only have two slight issues with this book:
1.) It rambles on a little. (I like "how-to" books that are more to the point.)
2.) You should not - under any circumstances - listen to this book while doing anything else. Not being able to do the exercises backfires and stresses you out even worse.

Started this southern gem today!
4 chapters in and I am enjoying it. I decided to read a bunch of New Orleans related cozy mysteries and this is first in line.

I will say I don't like the audible narrator's reading style very much. However I luckily was able to get the eBook and the audible version for the same price. So I can switch back and forth, which is nice!

While I loved the previous books in the series - this one was a little "meh" for me. I enjoyed the interpretation of the Fae Wild Hunt, but Toby's suicidal "pity me I'm a broken hero" attitude is getting a little grating. I like character development over time and I feel like she hasn't changed at all in three books. It doesn't seem promising that she'll change anytime soon, so I am not racing to read the next book. A shame really.

The first book was hilarious and interesting. Not as excited about the ones after. However this one was great for a giggle.
An interesting twist on the concept that "we all live in a computer simulation"

Sexy, sassy, and wicked!

I really love the two main characters in this book. It's a little cliché but a really fun read none the less. Characters that always clash horns but end up lovers is one of my favorite story lines.

What a fun read! An interesting take on the typical cozy mystery. The author definitely loves snark and sarcasm, which is quite refreshing.

If you like awesome independent witches and cute tiny kittens, this book is for you.

This book has a great way of melding heavy Fantasy into an urban setting. October (aka "Toby") is a brilliant character who gets into all kinds of trouble.

You'll laugh, you'll cringe, and you'll keep reading to see how she'll get out of the mess she made this time.

Who doesn't love a witty wizard detective covered in a leather duster? Especially when they run around solving insane magical crimes in Chicago.

This entire series is my absolute favorite, but the first one is always the best place to start. The story is engaging and Jim Butcher's amazing plot threads woven through the whole series will blow your mind.
