Today's #bookmail (well, yesterday's but I picked up the package today), courtesy of the lovely Trish at TLC Book Tours. I have been wanting to read the Natchez Burning books for a while. So many of you have raved about these books! So I'm really looking forward to this one.

LitHousewife I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on this one. Good book mail! 8y
[DELETED] 2232195534 Me too! I've loved so many of Greg Iles' books. Natchez Burning was very good in my opinion. 8y
MsBookish @kaysreadinglife I remember your review in particular! I think that's when I first put it on my want-to-read list. 8y
Gulfsidemusing Have this on my kindle! Can't wait to read it😀 8y

Really looking forward to browsing through this book. And maybe it will make me more productive. (Not likely, I know.)

I would have liked this more without all the chapter endings that try too hard to make you turn the page. Like "It was the start of a cascade that would end with horrific results". Or "Unaware of the deadly spiral I'd kicked into motion". Only there really wasn't a cascade. Or a spiral. Just the plot moving along, as all plots do. And Brennan is supposed to be smart, so why does she always rush blindly into danger without backup?

arienettexo I've wondered that with every one I've read: has she not figured it out that going impulsively into places is a bad idea?! 8y

I've been sinking into this book for a few hours now. It's so intriguing: time travel of sorts (reincarnation?), lots of intricate weaving through past and present lives ...

[DELETED] 2232195534 Looks like you have a helper. So pretty! 8y

I'm really loving this book, for a lot of reasons, not least of which is how it's exploded my TBR pile.

I got this from Audible a while ago. Couldn't remember what it was about but figured it was about some apprentice questing to become a wizard. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it's about a computer hacker! I love magic + technology books. I think I'm going to like this one.

I kept writing, fascinated. I felt, on the good days, more like the first reader than the writer, something I‘d rarely felt since Sandman days. Neither Shadow nor Wednesday was, in any way, an everyman figure. They were uniquely themselves, sometimes infuriatingly so.

Time travel. 16th century England. Immortal cyborg operatives. Loved the whole concept. The historical setting felt very authentic and I enjoyed Mendoza's voice, a good balance between immortal cyborg and uncertain adolescent. This was definitely a good read.

RealLifeReading One of my all-time favorite series! 8y

The first in the Wells & Wong Detective Society series. I'm dipping in before I tackle the kitchen.

This read was my first Big Library Read. Such fun, although I did feel at times the dialogue in the past felt a little too modern. An enjoyable read, though, especially once I got through the present-day chapters.
