I love a good old enemies-to-lovers premise. And I don‘t mind the odd cheesy book, and can even overlook an author using the word ‘smirk‘ 500 times in one book.

But jeez, Becca was a struggle to read. It is obvious to everyone, including the reader, that Ryan likes her and she is so oblivious. It makes her come across completely vacuous, especially as most of the book is about her love for Charlie which never felt even the slightest bit real.

1. Kindle mostly. I love paper but kindle is more cost effective/space friendly (family of four living in a tiny 3 bedroom!)
2. 7. Or 6.5 if a brand does half sizes
3. Cheese 🧀
4. Vampire Diaries or Golden Girls
5. I tag anyone who reads this!

I don‘t buy many paper books (I use a combination of the local library and buying kindle books) but I had to make an exception for Patti ♥️

I suspected my soul, being mischievous, might slip away while I was dreaming and fail to return. I did my best not to fall asleep, to keep it inside of me where it belonged

I‘m surprised to see such negative reviews as I liked this book far more than If I Stay. I really enjoyed Adam‘s story and feeling all of the emotions he went through.

I‘ve struggled through 100 pages before deciding not to finish this book. Nothing had happened and the characters weren‘t likeable enough to keep me reading to find out what exactly happened on the day of the BBQ.

Recent evidence suggests that shortly after the formation of our solar system, Mars was wet, and perhaps fertile, even before Earth was. Collectively, these findings tell us it‘s conceivable that life began on Mars and later seeded life on Earth, a process known as panspermia. So all Earthlings might—just might—be descendants of Martians.

For me, this is one of those rare books where the movie is far better.
