The Glass Castle: A Memoir | Jeannette Walls

A literary device that is most frequently used throughout the book are similes. For instance, Jeannette says that, “we were sort of like catus. We eat irregularly and when we‘d did, we‘d gorge ourselves” (22). The literary device adds enthusiasm, gets you into the jyst of the story. The author uses similes because it helps us get a better understanding of what‘s happening in the story. I like how Jeannette uses these similes because I get better

The main theme in the book is poverty. There are many other themes in the book like, importance of education, strength, etc. Jeannette wall‘s experiences poverty with her family, basically her whole child hood. Jeannette always had to move somewhere else when she was growing up, even eat a whole stick of butter because there was nothing to eat in her so called “house.” Jeannette is a round character with complex personality. She got severely burnt

Matteogeorge -cooking hotdogs, and after she got home from the hospital, went straight back to cooking them. She builds strength throughout the novel and understanding. Overall, Jeannette‘s a strong character and is outstandingly brave. I chose her because I like how she doesn‘t really fear anything, and try‘s new stuff like, “swimming” 7mo

julesG @MissYaremcio You're posting your students' marks on social media? Ever heard of data protection? I don't think this is the platform for teaching experiments. 7mo
