Gah, I can‘t help myself! I see a colourful cover and a flashy title and I have to read it. This book is a lot deeper than it seems at a first glance though, it touches on major problems, including racism. The main heroine of the story has so much depth and inner problems along the plot. The book subtly asks major philosophical questions along the story like priority‘s about humans and animals, and friends and families. An AMAZING book!

Not great. Felt very rushed through, and not an amazing story to begin with. It was very hard to understand what was going on due to terrible line breaks and overall writing style. Not a great book, I do not plan on reading more by this author

This book was amazing! (Not as good as rules for disappearing though). Every time I feel myself drifting from the fantasy genre a new amazing book snatches me up. The characters really had you rooting for them and the ending was INCREDIBLE. I plan on completing the series because I know this author could not possibly ruin the amazement the reader feels in this book in the next 2. The only downside of this book is it kinda feels like a prologue.

This book was kinda meh. I don‘t know if you had to read the actual summoner series to have it be more interesting, or if it was just poorly written and un-entertaining like I felt it was. Over all, the novella was boring and not interesting, and left on a cliffhanger even though it will not be continued, and the random stuff at the back was slightly interesting at best.

This book was AMAZING!The character development was incredibly readable, and followable with out being blatantly obvious. The plot had twists around every corner, and was so unpredictable but not unreasonable/unrealistic.It had such a new take on the idea of the witness protection program, and brought a whole new light to major ideas in our society today like relationships where secrets not only are kept, but are kept for a reason. Best book ever!

This book was AMAZING, I loved the different P.O.V.‘s. The separate perspectives blew my mind. The emotion flowed just as well as the plot, and gave the book a feeling that I have not experienced in a book before. I usually do not like war books, but the way they made the entire book fall with in the 24 hours, made it such an action packed, page turner of a read. The only possible ‘bad part‘ of the book was that sometimes the book was confusing.

This book was... not satisfying. Kevin Sand‘s books usually have another level of mystery but this book was too clean cut. It didn‘t have the same creative plot as the others and the ending didn‘t fit with the plot of the series. I liked the way it was written and the characters were very well produced, but otherwise not great! Although it had a nice plot summary since it came out later than the other books, making it nicer/easier to read!

This book was amazing! It got me back into reading after a summer of big Nate and diary of a wimpy kid. The flowing, free verse writing made the pacing of this book incredible. It had diverse characters and themes that were relatable for me (with anxiety and living in a big family) and over all told a great story of hope and dreams!

MrsBabki I am so grateful you are in my world this year! Amazing student and human! 5y
