Took two tries to get past the first couple pages but then I was sucked in to an amazing story of family!

Not sure why I found this alittle slow. Enjoyed the story but had to force myself to keep picking it up. Preferred her previous books

Fun read but I found it hard to believe with the age difference and the boy band popularity! Lots of explicit sex too!

Wow! That was intense! First time in a long time I stayed up too late to finish a book and cried during the book. Shocked by the surprises. Lots of depth in this book.

Another great book by Catherine Ryan Hyde. My favorite author. Feel good books that really make you think. What would you do?

Liked it even more than the first one! It‘s such a cheerful book about murder! Lol Read it very quickly.

Definitely agree with the others saying it had a Willy Wonka feel. It was fun, tender, tricky and clever. A fast enjoyable read for me!

Cute and funny. Loved the family bakery atmosphere. I‘m Jewish so enjoyed the funny references. I did find the subject manner of Avital‘s chronic pelvic pain to be an odd topic for a book and some of the description was alittle too detailed though.

I was really enjoying how clever it was and that the mutations seemed normal. But it felt rushed and alittle weird before the end.

Feel good book with gorgeous scenery and food in Italy.

Tom Lake: A Novel | Ann Patchett
Mehso-so

Ann Patchett is one of my favorite authors so I wanted to love this book. There was nothing wrong with it, it was enjoyable enough, but not interesting or exciting enough for me to want to keep picking back up, so it was a DNF for me 60% into the book.

Must read of you like suspense. First time in a while I couldn‘t put a book down snd finished in 2 days. Suspenseful but also touching and really enjoyed all of the characters. Now I can‘t wait to read Falling!

I wanted to love this but I kept forcing myself to continue. I read other reviews about how it gets better and bam, about 2/3 of the way through, I suddenly couldn‘t put it down.

I enjoyed this book until the end which felt rushed and a little confusing. It‘s interesting that it was similar to Covid but written before then.

Another great book by a new writer. I was sucked in and finished it quickly. Different than silly rom com, deeper but yet still fun to read!

I tried! It wasn‘t bad, it just wasn‘t grabbing me enough to keep wanting to pick it up!

Really makes you think. Definitely not a subject matter you‘ve read before, and by a new author. I really enjoyed it!

I know I‘m in the minority but I had a hard time finishing this book. The neighbor was the best but I just was bored reading it. I kept going since I heard how great it was, but finally didn‘t finish it.

This is a must read. So clever and original, I‘ve never read anything remotely like it. It‘s hard to even describe, but a book is the main character. It follows it‘s travels from reader to reader and place to place, meeting other books with different personalities along the way. And observing the life of their owners! Loved it!

Enjoyed it so much more than I expected. It didn‘t appeal to me but I saw so many recommendations so I read it and glad I did. Definitely something different and great characters, especially with the octopus!

I would never have picked up this book based on the description since video games don‘t interest me, but I got it for free since it was voted best book of 2022 by BOTM. I enjoyed the characters more than I expected. It kept my interest until near then end when it switched viewpoints to a new video game which I found confusing, and I found the end to be abrupt and not satisfying

I had a hard time getting into the book at first but then there was a “Jodi Pichoult twist” and I couldn‘t put the book down.

Sweet lovable book. It was easier to put down than I expected but really enjoyed the characters and story (although the sex scene came as quite a surprise with so much detail!) lol

Aims42 It caught me by surprise too - Hello 😳😂That kinda limits the people I could recommend this to, but it was still a fun read 1y

I can‘t totally put my finger on why I couldn‘t finish this book. I enjoyed the story but the book just felt like it wasn‘t moving and I sort of could guess the outcome. I read half of it but found I wasn‘t rushing to pick it up.

Enjoyable but not as good as her first book. It picked up and felt the relationships forming as the book went on.

Wish You Were Here | Jodi Picoult

I really couldn‘t put it down. I loved the first half of the book. The second half was still suspenseful but I was disappointed in the twist. Interesting that this is the first book I‘ve read that takes place during the Covid pandemic. Definitely gives more insight on reality. I liked the fantasy better though!
