This was such a heartbreakingly beautiful book. I wasn't prepared for this at all. Honest, tender, shocking, soul bearing, brilliant.

I encourage anyone and everyone to read this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars

Loved, loved, LOVED IT! Great writing and fast paced, full of plot twists. I loved how this didn't play to stereotype and kept you guessing at every turn. This series is one I'll defo be revisiting as there was so much going on that I know I'll get just as much from it second time around. FANTASTIC!

Haunting, creepy, bizarre, brilliant. I loved this book. I'd recommend you read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children first as it jumps straight into the action but it's really well written with some very uniquely bizarre and wonderful characters.
Prepare to be dazzled! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

MaryAnn1 Ewwww, that baby though. I'd keep her in the freezer. With a padlock. 👀 8y
Eatingbooksforbreakfast Haha @MaryAnn1 yeah it's my daughters doll and it's FREAKY!!! 8y

This book was amazing, harrowing, heartbreaking. This is a Jewish fictional tale about a young girl, Hannah, transported back to 1942 and experiencing first hand the atrocities of war and the concentration camps. It was utterly compelling and heartbreaking in equal measure. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

shawnmooney It reminds me of Octavia Butler's 'Kindred,' about a 1970s African-American woman transported back to the days of slavery in the Deep South. 8y
Eatingbooksforbreakfast Ooh I've read that too....and loved it. Not read any other of Butler's books, so if you have any recommendations...? 8y
Adventuresbetweenpages I haven't read that book since I was a kid. I loved it. Time to revisit it 8y

Sprinkle some magic at the feet of children and watch them grow. Let their imaginations go wild and their eyes sparkle with endless opportunities. Sail off to sea, fly to the moon, eat dinner with a giant, battle witches, HAVE FUN! Listen to, read and write your own stories. Invent, imagine, excite.

Sometimes I just love to curl up with a book that will make me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy. Cecelia Ahern is just the tonic for a wet and windy day (also known as the Great British weather!)

Marla I love Cecelia! 8y
Eatingbooksforbreakfast @Marla me too, always a real 'feel good ' story 8y

Magic, mystery, hybrids, witches, familiars, secrets and a paranormal romance! 🔮

It was a quick but very entertaining read; a good book to escape into.

This was a world away from my usual read but I really enjoyed this. I was hooked pretty much from the opening line. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars

I luuuurve Lucy Clarke, her books are always amazing: thrillers set with a glorious back drops of sun drenched beaches, strong characters and secrets waiting to be discovered. **RECOMMENDATION ALERT!***📚

(Only one from this pile not read is The Lifeboat, any good?)

LeeRHarry Didn't really like the Lifeboat but I love Victoria Hislop!! 8y
Eatingbooksforbreakfast @LeeRHarry yeah I keep putting off reading it, just hope I enjoy when I finally get round to it 8y

I've just read a bio of Kelly Risser, and book descriptions, they sound really good. Has anyone read them and would you recommend?

'Returning his books at the ungodly hour of ten in the evening was a terrible idea in any town. In Asheville, traveling in the woods after sunset-even for a minute-was plain idiotic.'

It's grabbed me from the get-go; it's got it all...witches, hybrids, paranormal activity, romance. I'd recommend.

This was a really quick read; light hearted, feel good - time traveling to go and meet Mr Darcy (what could be better than that!?!....hello wet shirt! 😜)

This was a book made to make you smile. 📕💕 Perfect accompaniment: some chocolate and a glass of wine.

This was a nice surprise as I don't usually read things like this. A bit obvious in places but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Clever writing with nice twists on a classic.
It was an entertaining read and am looking forward to the next in the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really enjoyed this book. It was a quick, easy read, fast paced with a good mix of interesting characters (both the nice and not so nice ones).
I'd definitely recommend this book to others and would snap up another Rick Yancey book in a heartbeat. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ShatterMeFangirl Getting the final book next week it was SO GOOD but the POVs can be confusing sometimes 8y

This was an amazing bit of writing. The savagery of war mixed with fairy tales and all the horrors that go along with both. Dark, shocking, heart wrenching, this book stayed with me for a long, long time. If you get a chance to read this then please do! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this book. A fab kick-ass main character, a deliciously wicked queen (usually I'd say 'hellooo...stereotype!' But she was so bad she was good) and the conflict between two princes. Add a lot of fighting, a big fat dollop of magic and 'superpowers' and I was there!

This grisly tale was fantastic! Exploring Victorian London's underworld hunting for the elusive 'Saucy Jack' was gripping and kept me turning those pages, eager for more. This is the third in the series but would also work well as a stand alone read. I can't recommend this book/series enough.
