I had high hopes for the comedy element of this book. I am a self help journal hater so was looking forward to some mutual hating. The jokes however wore thin very quickly and were very repetitive.

I enjoyed this book and the dragon premise but found some of the romance and youth elements a little predictable and time wasting. That said I am a grown up reading a YA novel!

Great, this book was the darkest I've read in the Anita Blake series so far with some great twists.

What can I say. Such a bittersweet feeling with this book, part of me was racing through trying to get to the end and part of me was like "NO!! Once you get to the end it's over!" The end of The Copper Promise trilogy this book absolutely kicks ass!

This was a really painful read for me. I really tried to give it a chance but I just couldn't connect with the main character. I felt the writing just wasn't on a level that worked for me this book has an audience but it's not me!

Currently reading... I did get halfway through this about 16 years ago and the book was stolen!! So I'm hoping my Kindle stays firmly in my possession this time!
