This is my second Erin Langston book in pretty quick succession, and I am thrilled to have a new historical romance author to be obsessed with.
I loved the interactions with the children, especially - even if not really true to how 4 & 2 year olds speak, I loved the emotion of it. And maybe they did talk like that in 1819. How would I know?
Definitely planning to read all her work.

This one was so much more satisfying than its predecessor and I really liked being with Emily solely, rather than flipping around to her other family members...although I am so fond of Arlene. I had a little trouble with the timeline since Wish You Were Here seems like it takes place roughly a decade before this book. Rufus, her then elderly dog, was still around?! I'm happy he was, though. 🐶

What a lovely, lovely book.

Widowed at 40, lonely, wondering what to do now after she had let years pass by, "Angel" Dawn Marie decided to vacation in Scotland. 

If you enjoy Scottish history and listening/reading the written Gaelic brogue, you will fall in love with the book and definitely the characters.
