Have you guys seen the, books that made you cry, meme? This bitch makes me wanna scream and light shit on fire 💀 I should have taken trig first. BTW, If you do need this book I was told the SAE version is better than the others. #textbooks #Engineering #science #math

Graywacke Mathematics? Geography? I don‘t even understand the title... (edited) 4y
Drosera Lol no I‘d be screwed if it was Geography my apathy for geography in school knew no bounds. 😅 It‘s geometry...sorta— GD&T is a mathematical language for interpreting mechanical engineering drawings. 4y

Spring 2020 textbooks are starting to arrive and I'm pretty excited! Grad school is kicking my butt, but I am loving it nonetheless! #gradschool #newbooks #textbooks #busybusybusy

Crazeedi I have 16 credits in community counseling grad school! 4y
FelinesAndFelonies Starting the second eight week module of my Master's in Social Work on Monday!! I'm exhausted! I often feel like I either overestimated my abilities or underestimated the workload. Grad school has been a beast. Congratulations to you! Keep going! 🎉 4y

I need some advice for a friend who wants to get an e reader for her textbooks (she‘s a university teacher). Vitalsource bookshelf is the programme she uses@on her computer and she wants something compatible. #ereader #textbooks #advice.

LibrarianRyan For text book the best bed is a tablet. I‘m partial to iPads but she needs to check out the apps first. 5y
Tianarose @LibrarianRyan Gotcha. That is what I was thinking as I was googling. Doesn‘t really seem to be a reader for textbooks. (edited) 5y

On the subject of #textbooks, I wrote the school district‘s governing board three times about a class that snuck through the vetting process. Among my concerns is that the publisher wouldn‘t release the textbook for public comment. The school board voted unanimously, which never happens, not to approve the book/course. The bottom pic is a screen grab of video featuring my favorite advocate addressing the board.

Tamra Until recently I didn‘t realize how prescriptive curriculum is for primary & secondary school teachers vs. the college level. 5y
RebL @Tamra I teach as adjunct at a community college. My textbook is prescribed because it‘s a gen ed requirement. Teachers can use whatever supplemental information they want, but core textbooks should be vetted. What brought your attn to curriculum across institutions? (edited) 5y
Tamra @RebL we have to fulfill 75% of broad course goals & outcomes but beyond that the design and materials are of our own choosing - in other words we have to do our own vetting. I am part of a two person team assisting HS instructors to align their curriculum to earn college credit for 2 of our courses. (edited) 5y
RebL @Tamra Ah! Interesting. Phil 101 would be a similar situation. It is a HS class designed by the Freedom Center to be dual credit. 5y

corycatelyn I'm taking statistics and community nursing. I hate them both 😭 Taking nursing research in July which clearly I will not enjoy either....2019 can't come fast enough 😂 6y

• Started another semester of school today. I don't have too much farther to go until graduation; I'm so ready to get this degree out of the way!!! I'll be reading 📖 this one and 2 others for this summer semester. •
