tpixie @Crazeedi So sweet! It‘s bitter cold in Kansas-greater than we are used to. They talking about possible rolling blackouts for 30 min-2 hrs to conserve energy-the gas companies gas lines are freezing & not able to keep up. Luckily so far we made it through the night without losing electricity/gas. @Soubhiville in Texas, I hope you are ok- I heard areas of Texas lost electricity- a virtual author event was canceled yesterday b/c of that. #KeepSafe 3y

Soubhiville @Crazeedi @tpixie we have no power and no water for about 12 hours now. I‘m ok though! Warm blankets, kitties are little furnaces under them keeping me warm. At least I have a gas stove so I can make tea, oatmeal, soup. We‘ll get through this! 3y
Texreader Thanks so much. No we do not have the infrastructure for this kind of cold for this long. Praying my parents keep electricity to stay warm. 3y
Elizabeth2 @Eggs so worried about you, love! I was just reading that many in her town are without water and power. ❤️❤️❤️ Wish we could send some of our warmth over to the south/central US! Thoughts are with all of you. 3y

eanderson We have an ex brother in law in Baytown and his brother got hit hard and he‘s north of Austin. Hoping they get their power back and stay safe and warm! (edited) 3y

Mom and Dad were lucky until this afternoon and the electricity has been going off for a few hours, then returns for a bit, and then off again. They are elderly so I‘m so very worried and there‘s not a darned thing I can do but pray. Thanks again for your prayers. These are scary times for our elderly population. 3y

Eggs Thanks for your prayers💕💕 was without heat, hot water and internet here for a few days, so I stayed with daughter in Georgetown until today. So cold 🥶 3y
