I liked it!
The style of reporting was suited and the introduction of philosophy and nature was interesting.
I'm glad it didn't become too Hollywood and that there's still intrigued in the world.

We do not care what else is happening this weekend, or what may come up. We will be attending the protest Saturday (if our joints cooperate), then promptly heading home to hermit up for the rest of the weekend. We do not want company. We will be reading, napping, and watching trash.

Sparklemn Sounds like the perfect weekend! 1mo
Aims42 Fingers crossed your joints cooperate!!! ✊🏻💙 1mo
dabbe After a day of protesting you need a day of rest and watching trash. I'm hoping to do the same. May our bodies cooperate. 😂😍😂 1mo

lil1inblue @Sparklemn I'm so excited. 🥰 1mo
lil1inblue @aims42 @dabbe @amiable I have a plan to sauna Saturday morning, which should appease the joints long enough to protest. The weather and pressure have been so up and down, it's been a rough week. My mind loves Autumn; my body does not. 😂 1mo

Dilara Good luck for Saturday. I think it's fair to say that people all over the world are rooting for the protesters... 1mo

Oof, that was quite melancholy for such a short book! I do enjoy Tom Gauld's art, this is very much characteristic of it, and surprisingly moody.

In this novella, based on a true story, Éric Faye recounts beautifully and poetically how the main character, a single man in his fifties, discovered a woman was using his place when he was absent...
The themes of solitude, intrusion, and meaning of life are very well explored despite the brievety of the book.

This is a slow, contemplative novel about a young artist battling with her mental health. I was surprised by all the love in this sad novel. I am glad I read it. 3 🌟

Started this one the other night, Friday I think.
This was one of my first BOTM back in 2017 and had yet to read it.
So far it‘s interesting looking forward to how Finkel lays out the story.
