#BigJuneReadathon #BigJuneReadathonPhotoChallenge

I posted about loving this soup cookbook before, but it‘s been awhile so I am using it for today‘s #Love prompt. I have made multiple recipes from it (some of them pictured above from my blog) & loved them all—especially the Pickle Soup in the top left corner.

Clwojick Yuummmm. Pickle soup sounds amazing! 3mo
shanaqui Oooh, this is tempting. Though we've mostly been making soup in the slow cooker, so we can do the work during the cool part of the day when we have energy, and then eat later without having a hot stove etc etc. Still, it might give us ideas... 3mo

In_the_stacks @SamAnne me too 😊! 1y
SamAnne @In_the_stacks I have two of his fermentation books. Several years ago the New Yorker ran a great profile on him. Worth googling. 1y
In_the_stacks @SamAnne thanks for the recommendation I will have to look that New Yorker article up. I‘ve borrowed one of his fermentation books from the library and I liked his whole philosophy about fermentation, food, etc 😊 1y

I‘m pretty torn on this book. There is a large amount of privilege of slowing down generally. However, this is more of a self help book then having large societal changes. So I have been doing meditation twice a day, yoga every morning, and driving more slowly. I have seen a general happiness from these acts. I suggest this if you‘re feeling like time is constantly slipping away from you.

This has been on my TBR for a long time and, unfortunately, time has not been kind. While there is still some good information and the message of taking your time in a constantly speeding up world is an always worthwhile one, some of the information is out of date and many of the adoptions - the rise of yoga and meditation, for instance - have become part of the culture rather than passing fads. Still useful information, however.

This is a slow read bc I have to take a break in between each chapter since it's so intense. My slow food and break was enjoying a nice long dinner at a cute tapas place near my place #happinessisresistance #slowread #slowfood #intenseread

#FierceFeb #NoOrdinaryLove Catching up with yesterday's prompt as a cold has me not feeling so fierce.? Probably not quite what the prompt was going for but I can't resist... My love of soup and for the "Love Soup" cookbook is no ordinary love. ?❤️ Anna Thomas is my soup guru & this book my soup 'bible' -both for recipes & creative inspiration. Shown are only a handful of soups I have made from it & all were unique & delicious.?#cookbooklove ❤️

MinDea I just made your avogolemon (or however you spell that) recipe tonight! So yummy!!!!! 5y

Chrissyreadit Ahhhhh! I love soup. Am vegan but bet I could do a lot with this book. Must get book!!!!!!!! 5y
Centique Soup may be my truest love too. If we include Irish Stew as a soup than yes, definitely. 😍I‘m stacking this! 5y
DebinHawaii @MinDea Yay! I love that soup! 5y
DebinHawaii @Cinfhen @batsy Aww... thank you my friends! 🤗❤️🍲 (edited) 5y
DebinHawaii @MinDea @Centique It's a great little book & if (God forbid!) 😱I was forced to go down to 10 cookbooks, it would make the cut! 😆And @Chrissyreadit many of the soups are already vegan but the others can be easily veganized. 5y
Chrissyreadit @DebinHawaii it‘s in my wishlist!!!! 5y
Annl I need that book! 5y

I've posted about Love Soup before but wanted to give it a review & show it some Litsy❤️ This book is my soup bible. Every soup I've made from it is delicious--as are Anna Thomas's descriptions & advice & the cheery artwork by Annika Huett. If you love soup & like creative vegetarian options, it's a valuable addition to a cookbook collection. This is the Asparagus Bisque with Fresh Dill-lunch & on the blog today, link👇🏼#soupersundays #litsycooks

Nute I love soup all year round. That bowl of soup looks so good, even though I just ate dinner, there is always room for soup. I have to have that cookbook. 5y
