I have liked Asha and was glad to finally read her story. But this... I just couldn't relate to main characters.

I was disappointed how almost nothing happened and then there were suddenly Claire's POV and it felt like filler. This was repetitive.

Well all righty then. I picked this one up as my neighbor is in a book club and their goal is to read the entire series and she wants me to join. Totally down. This was and wasn‘t what I was expecting 🤣. I will say it‘s entertaining and spicy and at times funny. Not my normal cuppa but I can see what all they hype is about. #littensloveromance

JamieArc Looks fun! Stacked the first one. 3mo

Hello Jessie Mihalik! Love discovering a new author and series that totally sucks me in. The world building and character development is amazing. I like how they can argue but still have mature conversations. Only downside is the how the story travels at warp speed, and I didn‘t want it to end! Looking forward to book two. The worst part of an engrossing series is the wait time on Libby! #spaceopera

A “Why Choose” “Jane Austen in Space”, this is the first part of a longer story (1 of 3 - I think.) So we end on an HFN rather than an HEA. The female MC feels a bit more removed and distant than I prefer and the space portion of this space opera is a bit light, but I feel like both of those things might change as the books progress? Either way, I feel lukewarm about this one and might or might not read further. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Nessavamusic I had similar feelings about this one 3mo

I finally met the most unlikable narrator you can imagine. If your partner gets a brain injury I can't understand how someone could blaim that person for that. You would think it's your part to support and help that person but MC decided immediately to have a pity party like it would be her partner's fault that he had lost his memories.

There seems still to be things that you don't know about this world!

TheSpineView Great job! I have the first book in this series on hold at the library. Excited to start a new to me series! 4mo
PageShifter @TheSpineView I wish you happy reading! The first one wasn't as good as the second but most love the series from the beginning so it might have been only me 🤣 4mo
Librarybelle Yikes! A very unlikeable character! 4mo

Why not do some random bookish This or That? I should be asleep, but I'm forever battling my nocturnal nature 🌌🦉
Currently reading Shapes of Native Nonfiction but should be reading Strange Love because I have a book club meeting to discuss it in 18 hours and am only 20% of the way through. I'm counting on the winning combination of hoopla audiobook and discounted Kindle ebook to get me through in time. 👽 🙏🏻

Eclipse the Moon: A Novel | Jessie Mihalik

I‘ve loved everything Mihalik has published so far, and while this isn‘t my favorite, I still loved it. Kee‘s insecurities were a bit much, and so much would have been solved by just TALKING TO EACH OTHER, but Kee and Varro are a good pair and it‘s a solid continuation of the story arc from Hunt the Moon. Next installment due in early 2023, which feels like forever.

I was surprised when I noticed how likable main characters eventually were. I liked how they communicated and their chemistry.

In this book happened so much, again new things revealed about the planet and I have no idea where this is going now. And I am so excited for it.
