I have been reading these books out of order. Technically they can all be read as stand-alones. However, I wish this particular book I had read sooner since it is about characters that are repeatedly mentioned in later books. Still enjoyed and was glad to fill in some blanks. 4⭐️

3 ⭐ I expected this book to be a sci-fi adventure, which it was. I was not expecting this book to be a love story. Overall, I liked and enjoyed this book. There were some things that were annoying. The romance in this novel was fine however, it felt like an afterthought. Like an editor said shove in romance and the author did so. Then finding out that this book series, each book is about somebody different the way romance books are and not a

LibrarianRyan continuation of the original story the way most sci-fi books are, was disappointing. The other thing I found annoying, is this civilization is thousands of years into the future and the main character Ada kept complaining about her bra. There is all sort of advanced technology, including nanobots, and regeneration gel to keep humans‘ hole, so why would a character need a bra to keep her breasts lifted. Wouldn‘t they stay naturally perky because of 6mo
LibrarianRyan of the nanobots.? It‘s just one of those things that was two “now” to make sense in this book. The story is a fun romp, but it very much feels like a first effort. I am looking forward to continuing the story about the sister, but I am sad that this ended, and we will not be going on more adventures with Ada and Lock. 6mo
Readergrrl I get a kick out of your bra analysis. Spot on! That and the names seemed so anachronistic that I struggled to get past them! 6mo

LibrarianRyan @Readergrrl exactly. The names were so American boring. And I won‘t get started on the bras again😀 6mo
Readergrrl @LibrarianRyan Unrelated question: isn‘t today Opening Day for #NMS23 ? 6mo
LibrarianRyan @Readergrrl I am pretty sure I put 23rd which is technically tomorrow. But go ahead and open. littleWolf1 will probably be posting hers soon as she just asked me the same thing. I would have posted but mine isn‘t here yet. Please open. Enjoy!!! 6mo
Readergrrl @librarianryan I had the 23rd handwritten on my calendar, but I think I saw 22nd on the Google form. No worries! I‘ll wait until tomorrow. I hope you get your package soon!! 6mo
LibrarianRyan Mines coming from Canada so I knew it was going to be late. It‘s okay. 6mo

Still enjoying this series. If you like alien romance with a bit of tense and spice this series is worth checking out. 4⭐️ for the book.

This is my #DoubleSpin choice for October. @TheAromaofBooks

#BookReport
I keep going off forecast for my finishes but I'm happy that I finally got around to these two and am more of a House Andrews completionist now.

#WeeklyForecast
Goal this week is to make it to the end of the first story in Orphan's Tales and keep current with GoTChapterADay. I also want to start another audiobook on my commute because I'm tired of the same songs on the radio.

So this is the thirdish story set in this universe and I have to say you can tell the authors leveled up between this and the previous installments. Silent Blade holds a special place in my heart but this is probably the best of the bunch. I love a good rivals forced to work together story and this one delivers.

@Andrew65

I started this new series with book 2 instead of one. I enjoyed, so I need to go back and read the first one. A fluff shifter series about dragons coming through a rift, maybe from an alternate universe, and they go insane without a human mate to anchor them. Interesting premise and the romance part I enjoyed. I will definitely continue this series after #Scarathlon 3.5 ish⭐️ 💚🐉

Andrew65 Great progress 👏👏👏 7mo

This book is really three separate stories. Silent Blade was a good intro to the world and it's magic system and I enjoyed the two main characters. Silver Shark broadened the knowledge of the world and I enjoyed seeing the characters from the first story make an appearance. A Mere Formality was kind of weird with a lot of low brow humor and I'm not quite sure how it fits in this universe but still kind of funny. Overall I enjoyed this.
