1. I really enjoyed the Beverly Cleary books (see tagged)
2. Fishing with my dad, going out onto the Ohio River at daybreak, watching the sunrise while we fished
3. Last week - when I realized my husband had finished moving the last of our things so I was done moving 🤣🤣

Make a great day everyone 🎃
I so loved this book at a child. Actually I acted just like her. 🤣. I needed to read “a book published the year I was born” for a challenge (pop sugar challenge) I‘ve been doing with a friend. And this was the only one that appealed to me. I was so glad I read it again.

At long last, we are hanging out on my podcast again with a true icon of kid lit, the one and only Ramona Quimby! Kara Alloway is on the show chatting with me about Beverly Cleary‘s beloved RAMONA THE PEST. We cover the many, many things we love about our gal Ramona, but Kara also helps me look at the book through some unique lenses, including reality TV production. Listen at the link in my bio!
When I was a kid (a long time ago, actually Ramona is only around six years older than I am), I had a few of the Ramona books. And although I read them over and over, and loved them, and sort of vaguely knew there were more in the series, I never sought out the rest of them. I'm fixing that oversight now, filling in the gaps in my Ramona reading. These books are classics. Cleary has a way of bringing back exactly what a 1970s childhood was like.
I. Was. Ramona. I had the bossy big sister, the hair that never did what I wanted it to do, and an imagination that got me into all kinds of shenanigans. LOVE these books. #sundayfunday
4.5⭐️ One of my favourite books from when I was younger. It was either my first or one of the first books that I chose from a bookstore (still have my original copy) when I was in grade 2. I chose the book because I recognized my grandma‘s name on it. I also liked the book because I felt the same way as a child and hated that I rarely got shiny new boots. #2022 #earlyreaders #fiction #bookreview #bookstagram #favourites
