My 1st Bail of 2022. I'm trying to finish up my stack of Holiday Reads. To much Teenspeak and wasn't enjoying the shallowness of Obsession of Instagram Followers.

In it's defense if it was the 1st of December I might have slogged on.

It's time for #myyearinbooks. I'm usually a finish what I start reader. Especially if I get a few Chapters in, but occasionally I decide early on a book is not for me.

This year's Bails:

All Creatures Great and Small - I know. I know. It's a classic but 1st Chapter discussion of all the ways birthings could go wrong had me saying nope. Just going to watch the lovely PBS version.

Crinoline_Laphroaig Agatha Christie is famous for inventing so many of the tropes of Modern Mystery but her books often have dated language. (Just Google what the original name of And Then There Were None was.) In this book it was the way a gay man was referred to at the beginning. And yes you can say it was a different time but I just wasn't in the mood for it.

Crinoline_Laphroaig The Last Necromancer - a Kindle freebie I had forever. Just couldn't get into it. And when that happens sometimes I go to Goodreads to see what others say. 'Does it start slow but get better?'In this case it was some reviewers talking about the abuse of women in the story, so I deleted and moved on.
