I‘m a little late as my sister, a friend, and I had a huge garage sale yesterday at my mom‘s.

U is for Undertow - Finished the last 18 minutes on Sunday night - Pick
#murdertrending - Finished the last 2/3 Monday night - Pick
Giant Days Vol 7 & 8 - Pick
It Feels Good To Be Yourself - Recommend for all ages - Pick

In progress -
Moon of the Crusted
The Gods of Gotham
The Light Between The Oceans

Cinfhen I started with God‘s on audio but I feel like I need to read the book or at least start with the book because I was having difficulty trying to keep characters straight. How are u finding it??? Are u reading or listening??? 2d
Bookzombie @Cinfhen I‘m listening to Gods too. I find I do have to focus on it more than some audios. I think it might be the words being used for the time period, like “kinchen” over child. It also took me a minute to get the characters straight, but it seems okay now. I‘m only about 28% in though. Audio time had been limited. 2d

I think I‘m going to have a little more reading time this week so my ambition for my #weeklyforecast is kind of high.

I only have 18 minutes left in U is for Undertow so will definitely be starting TGOG.

Still 2/3 to go in #murdertrending but it‘s a fast paced read. I‘m sure I will knock out the 2 volumes of Giant Days and the children‘s book too. I think I can also read the Rice and maybe get started on the Stedman. 🤞🏻

Bookzombie @Cinfhen That‘s great! It‘s one that has been on my shelf for a bit. 1w

I‘m a little late with my #bookreport due to my husband being a distraction (I mean this in a loving and funny way!).

📖I finished The Bus On Thursday. It was weird, but a pick.
🎧I‘m 67% through my reread of the tagged book. I have completely forgotten what exactly happens in this one.
📖I‘m a third of the way through #murdertrending and wondering if I have something figured out already. I really like it so far.
🎧TGOG is still on deck.

Cinfhen I‘ve just added GoDs to my que ~ maybe I‘ll start it later this week too 1w

I‘m a little late (as usual), but I love this idea @Cinfhen ! I‘m currently a third of the way through the tagged book and I‘m re-listening to U is for Undertow. The McNeil is my next physical book on deck. The Gods of Gotham is my next audio pick because I saw @Chrissyreadit say it is great on audio. #weeklyforecast

Cinfhen I just saw that Gods is available on Hoopla!!! I‘m out of credits for October but I‘m gonna pick it up in November 🥰 2w
Chrissyreadit Yay! I look forward to hearing what you and @Cinfhen think of it! I bought #murdertrending for an All Hallows‘ Read gift for one of my teens- but I want to read it too.... 2w
LibrarianRyan I was going to say how much I love Murdertrending but then remembered I‘m the one who recommended it. 😁 2w
Bookzombie @Cinfhen I‘m glad November is so close! My library has it on Libby fortunately. 🙂 2w
Bookzombie @Chrissyreadit ☺️TGoG has been on my TBR for a while so I‘m happy to get to it soon! @LibrarianRyan You are the one who recommended it, lol. 2w
Reggie How is The Bus on Thursday going for you? I kept teetering between being horrified and laughing my *** off. 2w
Bookzombie @Reggie It‘s going okay. I‘m feeling mixed about it. I only have 61 pages left. I want to know what‘s going on! 2w

@Chrissyreadit on of my fav things to do with the older kids and teen was to read a classic and then read a retelling of that classic. So hers my list.

1. Classic - Lord of flies
2. Retelling- Beauty Queens
3. Horror- #Murdertrending
4. Sci-fi- Illuminae
5. Fantasy- The Black Witch
6. Political- internment
7. Drama- Scream all night
8. Romance- Gentleman‘s Guide...
9. Mystery- Sadie
10. Historical p- Between Shades of Grey

LibrarianRyan 11. Non-Fic- Twilight Man 12. #ownvoices- Dread Nation (edited) 2w
LibrarianRyan I should also say that I have never used any of these books or those on the MG list in a book club before. I know it‘s easier to reuse selections, but I love never knowing what a kid or teen will say. 2w
Chrissyreadit Nice list! Several are on my TBR too. 2w

LibrarianRyan @Chrissyreadit I‘ve read all but Internment and a gentleman‘s guide. 2w
Chrissyreadit So you liked The Black Witch? 2w
LibrarianRyan @Chrissyreadit I did. I plan on getting to book two. It started slowly but once it picked up it shot forward. So much of the beginning was world building. I hated the main character to start but loved it in the end. And I have a few spoiler theory‘s that I think will happen in book 2. 2w
Come-read-with-me @LibrarianRyan This is an amazing list of books. Really excited that you shared it! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 2w
Avanders Another great list!! 😁👊🏽 2w

Congrats @shadowspeak17 on your #literversary and thank you for hosting this awesome #unpopularopiniongiveaway

1. My opinion is that I think fan fiction can be just as good as a book.
2. Guess Who (Chris McGeorge), Watching You (Lisa Jewel), and #MurderTrending (Gretchen McNeill)

1. I don‘t like To Kill A Mockingbird, while most people love it and I like Twilight, while most people dislike it.
2. @ChasingOm

shadowspeak17 My boyfriend and one of my friends don‘t like To Kill a Mockingbird either, but it‘s one of my favorite books. Sigh 😔😂 Thanks for entering! 1mo
AsYouWish @shadowspeak17 I had to read it three school years in a row, so it sort of lost its appeal. I am thinking about retreading it without any of the pressures that school put on it. 1mo
shadowspeak17 Wow, three years in a row! 😲 I honestly can‘t say I blame you for disliking it after that. My boyfriend has a similar idea about rereading it. He didn‘t have to read TKAM three years in a row or anything, but he did dislike most of the books he had to read in school because he was forced to read them. So he wants to try rereading it too to see if he‘ll like it better now that he‘s not being forced to read it. 1mo

Definitely in the minority, but I absolutely loved #murdertrending and this was an excellent sequel, and the way it ended def paves the way for a third 😱

LibrarianRyan I loved the first book. I have this I just have been holding off for the season to change. 2mo

Here are my #TBR options for the #SummersEndReadathon . My goal is to finish what I‘m currently reading (pictured along the bottom) and finish 1 or 2 from the shelf. #IThinkICan

Clwojick #murdertrending looks interesting! I can‘t wait to see what you think about it. 3mo

I saw this on your feed @LibrarianRyan and just had to do it! I am a strange person in that I don‘t like watching scary movies, but I have definitely enjoyed scary stories! I devoured R.L Stine as a kid and have definitely read my fair share of King!

The point is I am so excited to participate in another Litsy Swap! Anyone have spooky recs for me so I can build my October TBR pile?

Thanks for hosting @4thhouseontheleft #Screamathon

4thhouseontheleft I‘m the same way! But I read less horror and more paranormal in October. I went through a phase of reading gothic horror every October: Dracula, Frankenstein, Jekyll and Hyde, etc, all wonderful! I‘ll tag a few I‘m thinking of for this year‘s #screamathon 3mo

LibrarianRyan Heck yeah. I read #Murdertrending and it was so much fun. It comes out in paperback this month and book 2 is out. 3mo
Shakespearience @4thhouseontheleft I don't mind horror, but of the categories mentioned in the sign up I probably definitely lean more towards paranormal/supernatural stuff! Thrillers and mysteries have been popping up in my book browsing as of late too. I totally didn't just go to my Goodreads account to dig around for ideas either 😅 3mo
Shakespearience Thanks for the recs both of you! @LibrarianRyan @4thhouseontheleft 3mo
LibrarianRyan If you want to be in the spirit but don‘t want bloody or scary try the tagged book. It‘s horror related but not horror i was greatly surprised because it wasn‘t what I thought it was but I LOVED it. His new book is out next week. 3mo
4thhouseontheleft @Shakespearience My profile has my GR account. If you find me on there, I have a Halloween TBR shelf. 👻 3mo
LibrarianRyan Also Angie Fox writes some fun cozy witchy mysteries. 3mo
