We haven't had a family reunion since 2010. Because politics. My family are the #leftwingoutcasts. In 2008, I had to finally email my cousin to tell him if he ever sent me one more Obama-is-an-ape comic, I would completely disown him. Amiable We have a fractured family, too. Not very sad about it, to be frank. The people who are now MAGA were racist assholes even before Trump (no surprise there!), so it‘s a relief not to have to pretend to tolerate them for the sake of a family gathering anymore. Good riddance. 1w

kspenmoll One of my husband‘s sisters & family is MAGA, but we rarely see them as they live in FL. My husband & she do not speak. His other sister & sister-in-law are not MAGA at all- with us. My family has always been anti-Trump. Generational democrats or independents since 1800s 1w
