Dragons in a Bag | Zetta Elliott

Pickpick

This is one of the books for the #globalreadaloud and I really enjoyed it. Geared toward early middle grades. It‘s urban fantasy and it really struck me when the author said “magic only happened if you lived in a certain area”. So she did something about it. Jax meets Ma and she takes him along on an errand she has to do. This errand involves dragons, dinosaurs, an invisible man, and time travel. I‘m definitely listening to the sequel!!!

Just finished this BEAUTIFUL book: we‘re discussing it soon for @unabridgedpod (and it‘s a #globalreadaloud book). Amal Unbound—inspired in part by the story of Malala Yousafzai—tells of its title character‘s bravery in the face of great tragedy. Amal is a wonderful, flawed, *real* girl.

I can‘t wait to talk to @teachingtheapocalypse and @meaningfulmadness (my @unabridgedpod co-hosts) about this fabulous middle-grade read. We‘re tackling #refugee by #alangratz as part of our #globalreadaloud episode. Who else has read it?
