pickThis book‘s highest achievement is to take the reader into the mental and emotional reality of a possessed individual. The sensationalist stuff is set aside in favor of vivid, intelligent descriptions of what the five victims felt and experienced over many years as their free will was slowly and patiently subverted. It is terribly frightening but also tremendously empowering to understand the role that will and choice play in these situations.
pickOne of the most interesting yet infuriating and sad things I‘ve ever read. The levels men would go to blame women for absolutely everything and have them tortured and killed is beyond belief, a lot of it in the name of religion. This is such a hard read but part of human history which everyone should know about

I‘ve been working on a bunch of small pumpkin stencil drawings tonight, including the can art for Big Rig: Tales from the Patch. I‘m excited about these preparations, and will add the bonus crafting scores for each finished carving, as ‘to be carved‘ later on. — 1 hour (in 3 readathons) as halfway through Daemonologie.

pickThis introduction to the dark arts provides an overview of many things that I'm interested in, from fiction and general curiosity -- such as numerology, astrology, and ritual magic.
It helped me connect these systems through common themes. In addition to this book, Cavendish has a 24-volume encyclopedia of the supernatural. He has certainly put in the research of these fascinating practices.
