so-soI've read other of Clamp's work and now know that there's going to be a slow build up, lots of characters thrown at me from the start and beautiful art, which this one has but there's also within it's pages the looks of an intricate story, one steeped in blood and death so I am definitely intrigued to see how the rest plays out.
so-soWhile trying to decide what manga to borrow from my library, I decided that something from Clamp might be fun and picked one I hadn't read but saw a few images of when I was a teen. As is usual with Clamp, the character designs are fun! I didn't enjoy the story as much, though. I liked the over-the-top drama of game/sports manga like Yu-Gi-Oh and this one in middle school but it lost its appeal. I also hated the professor character. #manga
Our Clamp manga collection, I have more in boxes back home being kept by my sister in law. Wonderful, beautiful, and achingly painful stories are found in these books.
Throwback to breakfast, when I devoured more of X. Volume 9 was my favourite yet. I loved it so much that I went ahead and requested the next two omnibi, even though I‘ve got a ton of other comics in transit for me.
