I am not too proud to say that I read these two children‘s books because I needed a boost to my yearly book count. I have children in my life who would likely enjoy these and OF COURSE I should read them before I buy, yes? And one of them has PIE 🥧 so I am thrilled to say these were good books! 🤩

marleed One book away from the AP canon! Congrats! I‘m several years into working my way back through the John Grisham canon. I‘ve been able to keep up with his new releases but my thrifted JG backlog is just not as shiny as so many newly released books! 5mo

#bookclub Enjoyed this one to my great relief. I haven‘t been having the best of times with my club's choices so far. A couple of maybe minor quibbles: I didn‘t understand the use of “Ya” in the dialogue, and was not impressed with the flippant mention of a child murder case that, to me, is very sad and shouldn‘t be a joke. Also, I hate wearing yoga pants! 1/2 ⬇️

BkClubCare I read it as YEAH or YEA ; “ya” doesn‘t really work for me in that pronunciation. And since this book is set in Kansas, it really didn‘t work. 🤣 3y
