panI was so thrilled to read the first book of the Brethren trilogy, but this, the second book, did unfortunately not live up to my expectations. There were some bits that were just far too drawn out, but I must say that the ending did keep me reading for 5 hours straight!
All in all not a good book, but not horrible either. If you're into historical, complicated stories about the crusades, then I can recommend it, but otherwise not.
