The current #gwtwreadalong going on inspired me to take today's picture. It also inspired me to make a bookish confession... Even though GWTW is an all time favorite, I have never read Scarlett. I've always been afraid it would mess my perceptions and feelings toward the original characters/story.

Smangela I'm in the minority but I liked it! I have but haven't read yet 7y
rubyslippersreads I read it, but didn't care for it or Rhett Butler's People either. 😐 7y
carmens.library @Smangela I've heard very mixed revoews on Scarlett, but I know I need to give it a chance! I haven't read Rhett Butler's People yet either. I have not heard good things about it though. 7y
Reecaspieces Scarlett is good if you don't think of it as a sequel. There could never be a sequel to GWTW. Scarlett is a good stand alone novel. I could not get into Rhett butlers people either. Sort of blah! 7y
Reviewsbylola Scarlett is not a bad book. But it's not GWTW. Not even close. Rhett Butler's People was just ok. Same thing, can't hold a candle to the original. Love your mug! 7y

Forgot to post this here yesterday...
Happy sock Sunday everyone! The weather was great today! It was a beautiful, cool and breezy day. Not at all the hot humid weather we've had recently. Now I'm ready to cozy up with a good book and a glass of wine.

I featured 3 of my favorite series (and fandoms) in this photo, but I'm always on the lookout for new series to get hooked on. **QOTD: Give me your recs. What are some of your favorite series? I would especially love to hear about some lesser known series!**
