pickThis is possibly the most meaningful book that I‘ve read in years…A woman does everything in her power get her and her family through the Great Depression. This is a book that‘s filled love, loss, and heartbreak. I was left misty-eyed and on the verge of exploding into rivers of tears on many occasions! This is an absolutely beautiful piece of literature/historical fiction!

JoeMo @TheLudicReader I was absolutely enthralled by the book until that ending! 😂 I respected it though and preferred it to if it had gone in the complete opposite direction. I always say that endings are the toughest spots to land for a story. I‘ll definitely need to read/listen to it again somewhere down the road to see how it holds up! 8mo
