BarbaraBB Interesting. I am fascinated by your background, both religions in your family I have never even heard of. 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Thanks for sharing this. My parents weren't very religious but had me go through the motions of a childhood in Catholicism. Just last weekend I admitted to my BF's mom (after 22 years) that I don't believe. She's very Catholic, but not totally oppressive. She was confused that I went through it, have basic knowledge of it, & still don't believe. I reminded her I'm great at regurgitating information. She's likely still praying for my soul. 4y
paulfrankspencer C.S. Lewis, a man enamored with myth, said there is none of the standard mythical elements in the story of Jesus; more like personal accounts than myth. I find reading the OT and NT a completely different experience than reading any other holy text. But as in a single article you can't develop all that detail, so too in this reply I can't get into it all. Basically, I can't agree to calling the diverse cornucopia of religion "obvious fiction." 4y
Wellreadhead Thanks everyone for taking the time to read it and offering some feedback. I really appreciate it. 4y
