Vexingcircumstance I rewatched a bunch of the Doctor Who specials tonight. I always seem to forget how depressing Ten was toward the end. It was a gradual decline from the time he loses Rose (the first time) but after he lost Donna, too he was almost unbearable. He's my favorite doctor but I was kind of happy to see him go at that point. Eleven was a chipper relief. (edited) 7y

BillBlume @Vexingcircumstance I agree. Was fascinating to watch Ten spiral out of control, though. If felt the companion often indirectly influenced the regeneration, and losing Rose meant he could never be whole again. Curious to see how 12 plays out next season because of that. 7y
Vexingcircumstance I think rose definitely effected Ten. As did his feelings for Rose. Ten was the most emotional of the lot. So my opinion was the Doctors feelings for Rose caused that when he regenerated from Nine to Ten. Then he was so raw and just lost at the end that Eleven was basically a little boy to start with. @BillBlume 7y
