TheNeverendingTBR
The Institute | Stephen King

Pickpick

Another winner from King, probably the best one he's written in recent times.

It's a long one but fast-paced with unforgettable characters.

AmyG I loved this book. Reminded me a bit of Stranger Things. (edited) 3y
TheNeverendingTBR @AmyG Exactly what I said on my full review 😁👌 3y
MrT I put this up there with the Outsider in recent years. I've always felt that after SK's accident that his writing has been somewhat in decline 3y

TheNeverendingTBR @MrT I have to disagree, in my opinion he's writing what interests him, over the years he's reading other material and getting other influences; he's made his money and he's trying to keep writing interesting to him. He's wrote incredible material since that accident, 11-22-63, Under the Dome and Cell go straight into my top-ten. 3y
bookishbitch This has been on my tbr list for a while. I guess I need to bump it up to sooner. 3y
MrT #TheNeverendingTBR We shall agree to disagree 🙂 I will always think the 80s was when he was at his best. My top ten does include some of those you have mentioned though. That's the great thing about reading....healthy subjective opinions and recommendations will always be different. 3y
AlisBookNookCorner I loved this one! Have you read his newer work, If it Bleeds and Later? Both soooo good! Glad you enjoyed it! 3y

Another doozy of a story selection from Levar Burton and a perfect pick for my #audiowalk home from doing errands with the kid this morning. Can‘t wait to read more by Gardner Dozois, including this collection! #TBR

twohectobooks Sometimes when I listen to this podcast his voice is so soothing that I just zone out completely. Happened when I listened to this story, sadly. 5y
lauren.lerner I can‘t tell you how many times I‘ve had to go back to listen to something again because I‘ve gotten caught up in relaxing with Levar‘s voice, @twohectobooks — I‘m glad I‘m not the only one!! As a kid, I fell asleep to audiobooks for over a decade; if my husband were amenable, I‘d do it with this podcast now! 5y
twohectobooks I‘m also glad I‘m not the only one! 5y
