The Joker: Endgame | Scott Snyder, Brenden Fletcher, James Tynion, IV

This, although a pick, is a mixed review. Story-wise, I enjoyed it. This was probably the scariest I‘ve seen of the Joker. Overall, super creepy and dark. And I love that. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

But as I was reading, I felt like I had read some of it, while some of it seemed fresh… and that‘s when I found out that they took most of Batman: Endgame, and shoved some new stories in and republished it as a whole different book. Not cool. Slightly skeevy. ⭐️

When you think you‘ve read the whole Snyder Batman run last year (in the goal of finishing all your GN TBR pile), and then your friend finds a random GN at the dollar store…. 😳

Absolutely amazing comic. Never read this before and it is a great view on the end of the battle between joker and batman. Ivonic and beautiful.

Murphy really probes the flaws in Batman's mission, especially the inevitable collateral damage, and explores what it would be like for Bruce to give up being Batman. Batman suits up for one final ride in a vintage '89 batmobile to stop Azrael, who serves as a foil for Batman throughout the story.

This Joker is more like Two Face. Murphy makes Harley a fully realized character, rather than just a sidekick, and she's got her own spinoff now.

Liatrek Just watched a YouTube video on this one. Looks so good. 2y

In this sequel to Batman: White Knight, Sean Murphy reimagines Azrael and the source of the Wayne family's fortune. The art is impeccable. Everything is drawn to look a but like it's from the 19th century.

JOKER My favorite movie I saw this year ... & I really hoped Joaquin Phoenix would get the Oscar for his performance... his speech was beautiful

“Run to the rescue with love and peace will follow”
His speech was written & spoken with love.

TrishB Hubby loved the film and said this was well deserved. I haven‘t seen! 4y
Suet624 Even better, that quote was from his brother, River. 4y

The Joker | Brian Azzarello

Mehso-so

Overall, I found this to be ok.
It's not a new look or theme of what makes the Joker in essence Joker and to be honest, it's not a new idea either.

Told from the perspective of a low-level thug, Johnny Frost, Brian Azzarello took me across Gotham to read this and I wasn't OMG invested or interested because it feels like I've read something similar.
