#Swoonathon
The first book I remember is Amanda and I read it in middle school. It's about a society girl in the 1840s who has everything she could ever want. Her and her father escape in the night from creditors and decide to travel to Oregon. Along the way the way she changes from a spoiled rich girl to a strong women, finding herself and love along the way.

MidnightBookGirl Sounds like my kind of romance when I was a kid! 2y
InkedBookworm13 @MidnightBookGirl yes. It's a very innocent love story that was appropriate for a 12 year old to read. 2y

1. I had a day date with my husband. We went to the Oddmall at the fairgrounds. It's a craft show that caters to the weird and unique. We love it and go everytime it comes and spend way to much money ♥️
2. Harry Potter series.
3. I don't watch basketball. I'm a football girl. Go Seahawks!! 🏉
4. Tagged.

LibrarianJen Ugh at least you‘re over the Raiders. 🙄🤣 (edited) 5y
InkedBookworm13 @LibrarianJen yes I left them the last year I was in ABQ. I was hunting for a new team and it was between the Steelers and Seahawks. Then we found out we were moving to Seattle so Seahawks it was. 5y

Willo Davis Roberts wrote some of the #Sunfire books that I like the most, and so when I saw this at a library book sale, I snatched it up. It‘s a mystery, about two kids who run away to their father‘s house and find him to be missing. It was fun, quick read with action that would keep kids interested. I enjoyed it!

ferskner I loved The Girl with the Silver Eyes so much when I was a kid. I need to check this out! 5y
GeekGrl82 I have all but 6 of the #Sunfire books. 5y

This was a fun one. I love Titanic stories, and it‘s so interesting the parallels between this book and James Cameron‘s movie, especially that this was written years before the movie came out. A little bit harder to believe in the love story than most, but what can you expect in a story that has such a definite timeframe? Over all, a great little escape! #MtTBR

Sunfire #18 Veronica | Jane Claypool Miner

Mehso-so

This particular author in the Sunfire series tends to seem more juvenile than others. While I enjoyed learning some new things about Hawaii and The Pearl Harbor attack, this was one where the romance did seem juvenile. You could look at that in a good or bad way, as the girls in these stories are always around 16. I liked Veronica when she wasn‘t around the boys! 😂

quirkyreader I read most of these when they came out. They were a major hoot. 5y

Picked up this book to knock another off my #MountTBR list, and began to read the synopsis before diving in. How weird that I picked this one up the day before the anniversary of Pearl Harbor?!?

Another Sunfire from my #MountTBR list complete!
This book and Susannah trade places for my favorite book in the series. I love the story line of a former wealthy girl whose family loses everything and has to start over. Interestingly, while it would have been very easy to make the romantic conflict be between her rich boyfriend and a new poorer beau, the author avoided that cliché and had the dilemma be with two men from her ‘new life‘. Fun!!!

I‘ve taken a break from my #Sunfire series and fallen behind on my #MtTBR list because of it, but finally knocked this one out tonight! These books continue to be a great trip down memory lane, and this one is in my top 5! Same setup; girl must choose between two men and usually choosing one means defying how she was raised. I always enjoy learning about the time in history in which the story is told.

jpmcwisemorgan I read quite a few of these when I was a pre-teen/early teen! 5y
