I'm way behind on #30daysofreadathon, but here are some close-to-hand red books. Whipping Girl was the last #sjbookclub pick, the Ward is on my stack for this month, and The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland is in consideration for this upcoming #readathon! #weneeddiversebooks #bookofthemonth

Our October 2017 selection for Social Justice Book Club is AGE OF ANGER by Pankaj Mishra, that discusses the rise of nationalism and a resurgence of right-wing political movements in recent times. The book club is hosted by @kerry and me over on Slack so if you'd like to join us, drop your email in the comments and we'll add you. Looking forward to an interesting read and insightful conversations. #SJBookClub #nonfiction #bookclub #octoberpick

Currently listening to this #SJbookclub selection

TheLondonBookworm Sounds intriguing- do you have and recommendations for decent feminist fantasy lit? I'm writing an essay on the presentation of evil women in fantasy and I could use some help! 7y
rjsthumbelina @TheLondonBookworm I wrote a paper in undergrad about Disney princesses vs villains. How the female villains looked and sounded different from the princesses. It was fascinating to look at. Not to mention that they were often the only women standing up for themselves in those movies 7y
samesfoley This is such an amazing book!!! 7y
