I love Goddard's books & this one did not disappoint. It kept me guessing. His characters are so unique & very believable. Lots of twists & turns kept the pages turning until the very surprise ending. The plot was very calculating & the murderer obscure. All Goddard's books are very well-written and fascinating and sure to hold your interest. I highly recommend this book to those who love historical mystery.

One book (Corners of the Globe) is the 2nd book in the trilogy so you should wait until you get Book 1 and Book 3 before reading that one. (edited) 4y

Andrew65 @Crazeedi Totally agree with @EadieB Robert Goddard is a master storyteller and not sure why he is not better known. Don‘t think I have ever read a book of his I didn‘t love, a master of his art, and yet every book is so different. This book is a real favourite of his. 🥰 4y
