A great book telling an important story about race. After reading a few non fiction books about race, this was a nice departure into fiction. It took a lighter story to touch on heavy and important ideas. It made me examine how I react to race in my day to day life and in my relationships.

Extremely powerful book. So well written. Time travel done extremely well. Highly recommend to everyone. Hard read at times with the realities of slavery, but so so important to see those.
