This interesting pop sci book is just what I needed this weekend. #NerdVibes 🤓

Greg is a meteorite scientist, and he takes the reader through the history and current study of meteorites. From the early huge impact that formed the moon to modern hunters and prospectors, they have played a large role in the formation of Earth and how we may be able to find rare elements in the future. The #audiobook narration is great!

I‘m a bit of an infectious disease lover, especially zoonotic ones, so this book was absolutely fascinating to me. However, you don‘t need special medical knowledge to enjoy it.

The authors look at diseases from antiquity to now, who were the first cases, plus interesting stories of discoverers and survivors. From modern diseases like Ebola, HIV, and Covid-19 to older ones like leprosy, ergotism, and smallpox. #NerdVibes 🤓

Rationality: What It Is, Why It Seems Scarce, Why It Matters | Steven Pinker

Pinker blends philosophy, sociology, probability, and statistics to explain why people do and don‘t act rationally. He looks at classic game theory questions, logical fallacies, Bayesian reasoning, and more to paint a picture of part of the human condition. I liked how he blended theory with practical application of it, and the last chapter was 🔥! Some serious #NerdVibes from this #audiobook. 🤓
