#coffeeandbooks #mugtour #nationalhistoricsites #nationalparkservice

This mug is from FDR‘s Library and Museum in Hyde Park NY. During a visit of several days, we toured the Library, his home,Springwood, Eleanor Roosevelt‘s retreat,Val-Kill, & the Vanderbilt Mansion. We also ate a few fabulous meals at the nearby Culinary Institute.
I am so enjoying this #mugtour because it is evoking such wonderful, warm memories.

Amiable My husband and I visited Hyde Park and Val-Kill a few summers ago —it is such a lovely place! (edited) 2y
Cpg If you get “down south” visit the Little Whitehouse in Warm Springs, GA (or Ala I think GA) for more FDR history. It‘s by Calloway Gardens- Pine Mountain, GA. 2y
Cpg Sounds like a fabulous tour you were on- I‘ve always wanted to visit the Biltmore! 2y

Hubby and I have been out and about for the past 10 days trying to support the National Park Service (I hear they could stand to replenish their entrance fees🤦‍♀️). Beautiful vacation, and I came home with a bunch of new bookmarks. #GetOutside #NationalParkService #AmericasBestIdea

Last college reading is finished! 9 more days of classes and 11 days until graduation, not that I‘m counting.

After an extreme cold spell here in Wisconsin, it‘s finally time to start my last semester. I may, or may not be, counting down the days until I graduate in May.

Thinking about Mary Oliver while I'm road tripping this week. I'm driving the whole 444 miles of Natchez Trace Parkway from Nashville, TN to Natchez, MS. I took this after a hike to Jackson Falls this morning at one of the scenic stops along the way. Highly recommend you visit if you get the chance - two lane road, no semis allowed, no signs other than trail markers. I saw more cyclists & motorcyclists than cars! #roadtrip #nationalparkservice
