I‘m a bit conflicted.

The concept‘s so original (a Britain where anthropomorphised rabbits live alongside humans, and face considerable speciesism), and I did laugh at a lot of his quips and puns. But I kind of wanted to see this world as part of a sketch show or something, rather than a novel...

rockpools As a satire on Brexit Britain and the associated anti-immigration rhetoric, I didn‘t really get anything new from it (not even ‘low to middling outrage‘). And as a story, as characters, I kept putting the book down and failing to picking it up again, which isn‘t the best sign.

Of all the hobbies I'd expect John Waters to have, hitchhiking wouldn't be my first choice but... LOL, not sure if this is better #ArmchairTravel or #MadeYouLOL for #Booked2020 but I will tell you it's not for the faint of heart!! I've blushed several times already and that's totally unlike me!
**I missed the part in the prologue where the book starts with 2 imagined trips 😂**

There are so few books I've read that not only begged to be read frequently but made me laugh out loud at the same time... THIS is one of them! I've recommended this book quite often and I wouldn't pass it up for $3!! DO IT!

This is on a whole ‘nother level as an #audiobook!! I cracked up every time she said Helen Michelle because nothing says Southern like a double name.

I really loved her teenage birthday party with the actors and the first time she got high. I love that she has a blue Burberry coat. I love a woman that knows when to stand out.

I can see why some people don‘t find this funny. Bless their hearts. 😘😉🤪

Megabooks @KathyWheeler I liked almost all of the essays. Maybe I liked that one because of the same thing happening to a friend in college only it was J Crew gray pea coats. 4y
