Barefoot: A Novel | Elin Hilderbrand

Currently in the OBX on vacation with family. Isaias is on his way. It‘s our one vacation a year, so we are very happy that they didn‘t place an a evacuation order for this area. The wind has picked up and it‘s gray, but he hasn‘t officially arrived with his wrath yet. For now, this backdrop is perfect for some afternoon reading (especially this beach based book) while others nap and play in the pool. ❤️ #Isaias #HurricaneIsaias

Elizabeth2 @slategreyskies @Lesanne thanks! I think we are prepared. We have flashlights, batteries, phones are all charging, we‘ve moved all of the deck furniture & secured the trash cans. Storm surge of 2-4 feet and wind are the two main threats where we are. I‘m a worrier, so I‘m a little scared. Everyone else here balances me out though. They are all rolling with it. 🤷‍♀️🙏🏻 4y
